ABOUT THE WINEMAKER
Numa Cornut is a ninth-generation winemaker who embodies a prestigious family legacy in the heart of Burgundy. Following his formal education in viticulture and oenology, Numa gained invaluable international experience working in world-class regions such as Bordeaux, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Switzerland, and Australia. He established himself as a viticulture consultant in Burgundy in 2010 before realizing his vision by launching an independent wine project in 2021.
His current estate covers 3.5 hectares across the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, featuring highly sought-after appellations including Meursault, Pommard, Volnay, and Vosne-Romanée. Dedicated to sustainability, Cornut employs minimal intervention techniques, such as using indigenous yeasts and avoiding filtration. This philosophy preserves the aromatic purity and unique character of every parcel, resulting in elegant wines that offer a sophisticated balance of fruit, minerality, and texture.
