• When was Posana founded?  Posana restaurant was founded in 2009 by husband and wife team Peter and Martha Pollay.
• How many locations do you have?  We have 2 locations. Our downtown Asheville Restaurant location is 1 Biltmore Avenue.  Our South Asheville Restaurant location is 264 Thethford Street.

• What type of food do you serve?  We are a contemporary American farm-to-table restaurant serving locally inspired seasonal cuisine.  We strive to provide options that can accommodate all diners, including those who follow a gluten-free diet.  We also have vegetarian and vegan options available.
• When will Posana in Biltmore Park offer lunch and brunch services?  We anticipate launching brunch in December 2025 followed by Lunch at a later time.

OPENING HOURS AND RESERVATIONS

• How do I book a table? Posana utilizes the OpenTable reservation system.  You can also call the restaurant to make a reservation.  We also accept walk-in customers.
• Can I reserve a seat at your bar or on your patio? Our bar and Patio seating is reserved for walk-in customers and is seated based on availability. You can reserve a table in our bar/lounge area in Biltmore Park by calling the restaurant or making a reservation on our website.
• Do you have outdoor seating available? We have a covered patio that is seated based on availability.
• Do you accept large group reservations? Yes.  For parties greater than 10, we offer a curated menu.  Please contact Lindsey Wehrli to make your reservation.
• Is there a waitlist for tables if I just turn up? During busy service hours, we will have a waitlist.

• Is there parking available nearby?  Our downtown location offers many nearby lots and metered street parking.  Our Biltmore Park location has free street and covered parking.
• Can I purchase gift cards for your restaurant? Yes.  You can pick up a gift card in person or order a digital gift card online here.
• Are pets allowed outside and inside? Well-behaved dogs are welcome on our outdoor patio. Service dogs are allowed inside our restaurants.
• What’s the dress code for dining at your establishment?  Casual to dressy, the choice is yours. We want you to be comfortable.
• Are highchairs or booster seats available for young children? Yes
• What are you doing for sustainability and recycling?  We compost 100% of our food waste and recycle our paper, glass, and plastic.

• What food does your restaurant specialize in? We are a chef-driven farm-to-table restaurant specializing in locally inspired seasonal cuisine.
• Do you have a wine list? Yes. Both Posana locations hold the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence.  We focus on sourcing from small production vineyards specializing in organic, biodynamic, or sustainable growing and production practices.  Wine Spectator recognizes us as a destination for serious wine-lovers. Our DOWNTOWN Asheville restaurant features an inventory of 1,100 bottles with 405 different selections. Our SOUTH Asheville location in Biltmore houses a larger inventory of 1,600 bottles across 360 selections
• Do you use locally-sourced ingredients in your recipes? We source many of our ingredients from local makers and purveyors.
• Are there vegetarian and vegan options available?  We do have several vegan and vegetarian options.
• What meals do you have for a gluten-free diet?  Posana features a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.
• Are there choices for children on the menu?  We have a children’s menu.
• I have a specific allergy; can the kitchen cater for that?  We do our best to accommodate diners with allergies.  If you have concerns, please call the restaurant to discuss your dietary needs.
• Are there any unique or signature dishes I should try? The gnocchi and the kale salad are two customer favorites for the last 14 years.
• What brand of coffee do you use?  We have our own signature blend, a proprietary mix of Fair-Trade, organic beans roasted locally by Dynamite Roasting. 
• Can I buy bags of your coffee to brew at home?  Yes, you can buy a bag of our coffee.  Please speak to your server or the host to assist you.
• Do you have free Wi-Fi?  Yes.  Both our locations offer free wi-fi.
• Do you offer dairy-free milk alternatives? Yes.  We have oat and soy milk.
• Is there vegan or gluten-free food available? Yes.

• Do you have a private room? Yes.  Both our downtown Asheville restaurant and our South Asheville restaurant feature a private event venue suitable for meetings, events, and elegant parties.
• Is it possible to rent your patio space?  Yes.
• Is it possible to rent the entire restaurant? Yes.
• How can I book a private event or party?  Please reach out to our private events manager, Lindsey Wehrli. Her information is on our contact page.
• What’s the maximum capacity for events and functions? Maximum capacity varies depending on whether your event is in our private room or if you are reserving the entire restaurant for your exclusive use.  Please contact Lindsey Wehrli for further details.
• Do you offer customized menus for special occasions? Yes. 
• Can I bring my own decorations for a private function? Yes.  We permit table decorations only.
• Can I bring my own cake for a birthday party?  Yes, you are welcome to bring your own cake, though we are unable to store outside food in our coolers. We have $5 per-person cake plating fee for all outside cakes. Please speak with our Private Events Manager for details.
• Can I bring my own wine for a party?  Yes, you may.  We charge a corkage fee. Please speak with our Private Events Manager for details.
• Do you charge a room fee for private events? Yes.
• What’s the cost to rent the whole space for a private event?  Prices vary by date and menu selection.
• Can I arrange a tasting session before my event?  Yes. Please speak with our Private Events Manager for details.
• Can we display a slideshow on the screen? Yes. We have an HD video 119” screen available with Dolby 5.1 surround sound and an HDMI input with appropriate adapters. We charge $225.00 for use of the screen/projector for three hours. *Note | If you plan on creating your own slideshow, we suggest you include music in it as our Sonos music cannot play while the projector is in use. 
• Do you have a microphone/speaker? Yes. We have a portable speaker with Bluetooth connection available for rent $200 for three hours.
• Does Posana include decorations? We provide white tablecloths and candle votives. Ask about our vendor list for some local florist recommendations.

• Wine Spectator‘s Best of Award of Excellence: Posana’s Downtown location has consistently held this award since 2018.  Posana’s South Asheville location also holds Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence.   Posana Restaurants (2026) are the only Independent restaurant in Asheville to hold this level of Wine Spectator’s award.

WHAT MEAL SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

• Posana Biltmore Park offers dinner service 7 nights a week, lunch service 5 days a week, and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
• Posana Downtown offers dinner service 5 nights a week, Wednesday through Sunday.
• Reservations are strongly recommended.
