ASHEVILLE, NC (December 12, 2024) – Chef Peter and Martha Pollay of Mandara Hospitality Group are excited to announce the upcoming opening of the second location of Posana® restaurant, set to debut in Asheville’s Biltmore Park Town Square at 264 Thetford Street in Spring 2025.

The Pollays opened the original Posana location in 2009 in Downtown Asheville and the contemporary American restaurant quickly became a staple in the community for its sustainable approach to cuisine. This expansion to Biltmore Park gives the Pollays an opportunity to connect with another neighborhood and increase their offerings by adding lunch service to the new location.

Similar to the original Posana, the Biltmore Park location reflects the Pollays’ frequent travels, inspiring both its menu and interior design. The expanded menu will highlight the finest seasonal products and ingredients, sourced from a diverse range of farmers and purveyors, with offerings that evolve throughout the year. Fans of Posana will recognize familiar favorites on the new menu, like the kale salad, seasonal housemade gnocchi and pasta, and prime meats and seafood dishes along with rotating specials. Posana’s signature cocktails and award-winning wine list will also be highlighted on the menu. 

Set in Biltmore Park Town Square, the restaurateurs are working with local partners Stratton Design Group, Laura Hudson Architecture, and Beverly-Grant General Contractors to create a convivial space that will feature both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, along with a large bar and lounge area. The new location will showcase many of the flagship Posana’s signature design elements, including Sputnik lights, barn wood beams, metalwork with gold mesh screens, custom-built wall displays, and botanical photogravure prints by artist Karl Blossfeldt.
